Women for the Water Works is the group responsible for bringing Fairmount Park’s Water Works and Cliffside Paths back to their former glory. Founded in 2006 under the Fairmount Park Conservancy, this group of dynamic women consists of a broad spectrum of Philadelphia’s most civic-minded women. Its roll of members includes 115 women drawn from places as varied as the Junior League to the big financial groups and major non-profit and arts institutions.
On June 21, 2008, Peter’s Place hosted The Bowling Ball 2008, its inaugural gala, at Lucky Strike Lounge & Lanes on Chestnut Street in Philadelphia. Guests were asked to ’spare’ just one evening for the benefit of the Radnor-based organization that has helped countless grieving children and families in the region.
