Thorncroft held its silver anniversary gala at the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue in April.  More than 350 guests, sponsors, relatives of riders and friends of the organization enjoyed a cocktail reception, silent auction, dinner and dancing to Chico’s Vibe.  CBS3’s meteorologist Carol Erickson emceed the event, introducing keynote speaker, Rupert Isaacson.  Isaacson authored The Horse Boy, a story of his son Rowan’s struggles with autism.  The book (also now in film) is an account of the family’s journey across Mongolia on horseback, which along with shamanistic rituals has brought help and a measure of healing to Isaacson’s child.
